INDIAN TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION (ITEC) PROGRAMME

The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme offers opportunities for young professionals from partner countries, such as Bulgaria and North Macedonia, to attend training programmes in leading training institutions of India.
The ITEC Programme is fully funded by the Government of India. It offers training courses for eligible professionals and government personnel of age between 25 to 45 years with requisite work experience, nominated by the partner countries. The training courses are conducted at various centres of excellence in India which equip participants with enhanced professional skills and prepares them for an increasingly globalized world. Over the years, more than 200 professionals from Bulgaria have attended various courses under the ITEC programme.
Though training or capacity building in India of professionals from ITEC partner countries is the major activity under ITEC, it is a multi-faceted programme including support for projects and project related activities such as feasibility studies and consultancy services; deputation of Indian experts abroad; study tours; donations of equipment at the request of ITEC partner countries; and aid for Disaster Relief.
Training
There are more than 47 empanelled institutions conducting 280 short-term, medium-term and long-term demand-driven courses during the year in the following broad areas:

Accounts, Audit, Banking and Finance Courses;

IT, Telecommunication and English Courses;

Management Courses;

SME/Rural Development Courses;

Specialized Courses;
-
Technical Courses; and
-
Environment and Renewable Energy Courses.
How to participate in ITEC programme from Bulgaria and North Macedonia?
Interested persons can browse the courses available under ITEC programme at the portal (https://www.itecgoi.in/index ) and apply for ITEC training program of their interest by filling up the online application form. This form needs to be forwarded to the Embassy of India in Sofia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria / North Macedonia along with their positive recommendation.
