Resumption of Indian Tourist Visa

Subject: Resumption of Indian Tourist Visa

         The Government of India has decided to resume issuing of Tourist visas from 15 October, 2021 to group tourists travelling to Inda through chartered flights and from 15 November, 2021 to all tourists. In this regard following points may be noted:

  • All such foreign nationals would be required to obtain fresh e-Tourist/Regular Tourist Visa. Existing e-Tourist/Regular Tourist Visa continue to remain suspended. 
  • Fresh single entry e-Tourist/Regular Tourist visa shall be valid for 30 days and visa holders will be permitted to enter India by sea routes or by flights. However, visa holders will not be permitted to enter through land check-posts.
  • The e-tourist visa can be obtained from the following link https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/ w.e.f. 12th October, 2021.

 

2.      Government of India is pleased to inform that the first five hundred thousand e-Tourist/Regular Tourist visas will be issued free of cost.
